A Mommy Makeover is more than just a tummy tuck. This procedure combines several cosmetic surgical procedures at once and is designed to counteract the physical effects of childbearing, restoring and enhancing your body contour and appearance.  A mommy makeover is an individualized plan for meeting the aesthetic goals of many women after they have given birth. Depending on a patients wishes and needs, this can include addressing and improving the look of deflated or sagging breasts, weakened abdominal muscles, abdominal skin excess, and deflated buttocks.

During a Mommy Makeover, with regards to the breasts, some women simply have a deflated breast appearance and need a breast augmentation, while others women may need a breast augmentation in combination with a breast lift (mastopexy). While other Mommy Makeover patients with large and sagging breasts may actually desire a breast reduction with a breast lift.

During a Mommy Makeover procedure, with regards to abdominal area, a mini-tummy tuck may be all that is needed. However, most Mommy Makeover patients need an tummy tuck that includes tightening of the muscle layer, removal of the excess skin, and removal of excess fat.  Dr. Agha also routinely performs a liposuction tummy tuck which includes liposuction of the abdomen and flanks as needed. More liposuction can also be used to sculpt the hips, thighs, and back. This helps to smooth out contours and lengthens the appearance of the torso area. Finally, an increasing number of Mommy Makeover patients have been requesting accentuation of their contour and curves through buttock lipoaugmentation, commonly known as a Brazilian Butt Lift.
